Abaddon Books

Released 12 April 2016

By Gini Koch, Glen Mehn, Jamie Wyman

Brilliant, distracted, sarcastic, abrasive, superior, fiercely loyal and—above all—ferociously principled, Sherlock Holmes is a hero for all times. Every era has its thieves and monsters, its exploiters and abusers, and in every era the detective of Baker Street will piece together the clues and bring the guilty to book.

In alt.sherlock.holmes, the creators of Two Hundred and Twenty-One Baker Streets have invited three talented writers to bring startling visions of the Great Detective and the redoubtable Doctor Watson to the page: as a carnival owner and fortune teller in the ’thirties American Dust Bowl, as a drugged-up, tuned-out weirdnik in ’sixties New York City, and as the most irregular consultant in present-day Hollywood.

The game’s afoot! Whether hunting a vandal, a killer, or a shadowy conspiracy, in Indiana, California or New York, Holmes and Watson are on the case.

"It’s clear the authors had great fun, offering wonderful new insights into the iconic duo. If you’re a Holmes fan looking for something different, look no further."
The San Francisco Book Review on Two Hundred and Twenty-One Baker Streets.

alt.sherlock.holmes is out on 12 April 2016.

Jamie Wyman

Jamie Wyman fostered several interests before discovering that being an author means never having to get out of pajamas. (However, she can eat/spin fire, tell you a lot about auditioning to be a Blue Man, and read/write in Circular Gallifreyan.) As an author, Jamie’s favorite playgrounds are urban fantasy, horror and creepy carnival settings. When she’s not traipsing about with her imaginary friends, she lives in Phoenix with two hobbits and two cats. She is proud to say she has a deeply disturbed following at her blog.
